Paul Suwan is currently a student at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where he is pursuing a Master of Science degree with a concentration in New Media. From 1999 to 2004, he worked as a sports reporter and editor at The (White Plains, N.Y.) Journal News. He has also interned at Newsday and The East Hampton Star, both on Long Island. Besides those publications, his work has also appeared in USA Today, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Boston Globe, The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Suburban Golf and The Met Golfer.

Paul graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in history. While at Northwestern, he served as the sports editor of The Daily Northwestern and won a Columbia Scholastic Press Association award for column writing, among other honors.

Born in New York on Aug. 30, 1977, the only child of Thai parents, Paul spent his formative years in Valparaiso, Ind., before leaving home at the age of 14 to attend boarding school at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H. Among his hobbies are seeing live music, collecting records and CDs, traveling, playing fantasy sports and cheering for all of the Chicago professional sports teams (except the White Sox). He lives in White Plains, N.Y.
